Happiness, Glitter & Daydreams

One woman's unpredictable journey through life , love and happiness whilst snuggled in Faith.I choose happiness ...

I have recieved a promised more than 5 years ago through prophetic word, by both a well know Prophet in our church and other visiting prophets that a new season was coming.

I have held onto that word for what has seemed like the longest time, I have conquered some of my giants and dealt with many a hurt ... yes, even had a few tantrums (hey I'm human) along the way ... but NEVER would I give up on that prophesy ...something just has to give and it's all about the waiting.

Well the waiting is over , the seasons are indeed changing but it has come not without challenge and adversity for the short term future ... my challenge now is to trust God , He will provide and I will overcome these challenges ... our God is good all the time and His hand is all over this change!
As I sit here, I find my emotions are fluctuating from ecstatic joy, to sheer panic , to relief and then to palpitations ....yep you got it! I'm praying for God's peace right now.

The word that I personally got from God at the beginning of this year was, 'get out of your comfort zone' ...sheesh!

So I have ...
I have moved life groups , I have taken on a healthy living plan , I have started exercising and now I have a new future ahead ... a change of Season for sure and Amen!

I just want to encourage you to hang on , trust God and believe in all His promises no matter how long the wait.... your Faith will be rewarded.

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.- Hebrews 11 v1

Today I found myself saddened by yet another single friend in her forties confessing how she struggles at this time of the year , somehow we seem to think that we are isolated in our feelings , walking a lone path of disappointment , hurt and frustration and yet that is not the case at all.

There are so many women 'out there' hurting and yearning for a family or a loved one, how do you fight a battle you can't see?

Simple really , stand tall and put on your armour of Faith , trust in God's timing and declare that victory will indeed come!

Today I want to encourage you to walk away from your sorrows, and rather look to HOPE!

Are you alone on this journey , no!
I am right beside you walking the same path ...let's declare our victory together ...

Father God , today I thank you for all the good and abundant blessings in my life,
I ask that you would continue to guide me in all that I do daily,
Jesus I ask that you hear the desires of my heart which cries out for love
Lord I pray that you bless me with a husband and a family of my own
I pray that he be a 'man of God' in every way , that he will look beyond the external
and see the wonderful woman I am inside.
I pray that even when this seems inmpossible, you Lord can do the impossible!
And so I thank you Lord for lessons learnt yesterday , dreams shared today
and a future full of promise! Thank you Lord for my family to come.
In Jesus name.
Amen!

This year has been a particularly hard year for me , the challenges have been never ending and my transportation a major setback, yet I look back and I am amazed at how far I have come ... mainly thanks to those who support me and help me everyday.

This support .... can be as small as 'a word of encouragement' or as amazing as 'a friend fixing your car' , 'helping you when you are stranded' or just 'constantly being your rock'.

No matter what your journey we can learn from each other and one thing I am learning from my journey is...

To expect the unexpected!

When I was stranded at the roadside, in the dark at 9.45pm, in an unsavoury neighbourhood. God sent me two angels to keep me safe in the form of man.
When it seemed like there was no way to get home , God sent men who were equipped practically that could problem solve and make a plan.

I want to encourage you today , when it seems like the road is lonely, that you are on a higway to 'nowhere' hold your head high , keep talking to God ... believe and look for His hand in all that comes across your path.

I cannot explain the gratitude I have for my friends who loan me their husbands in the middle of the night , to come and help me as a single woman stranded. I am truly blessed ... and loved beyond any understanding.
I am humbled by the kindness of friends and their husbands who go out of their way to fill a gap, one of which I am so aware and that is often like an open wound tearing at my heart and soul.

Thank you Lord!
Today and everyday I promise to remember
that You alone are all that I need.
You will send the right people across my path
at the right time.
You have blessed me and humbled me and
once again.
I want to thank you for friends!
I pray that you bless these friends and their families,
that they may experience the joy , humility
and thankfulness that you have placed in my heart.
May my eyes and my heart always look to you first!
In Jesus name
x Amen

Everyday in life we make choices that affect our future , family and loved ones and sometimes we make the wrong decisions too! As that old saying goes 'hindsight is foresight' and if we all knew the outcome of our decisions in advance , we  might choose a little more conservatively.

One thing I do know and that is that you cannot live life in regret , that would make you wrong decisions , mistakes and misdirected plans steal your future and your desitiny and that is not what God want for us!

God wants us to take heed of our journey , to learn and to grow from each and every experience ... to look forward and see the adventure ahead and to leave the past where it belongs ...behinds us!

In Jeremiah God promises us ...
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  - Jeremiah 29 v 11

I know that I am disappointed in choices that I have made , lie has not panned out the way I planned, I have had to accept realities in my life which are not the path I would have chosen for myself   ...but God!

So today again I remember to keep forging ahead ... trusting the Lord and knowing that He knows what lies ahead and is guiding me every step of the way ...

Are you coming?

It is the middle of winter here and I personally feel as though not only are the seasons changing outdoors , but so are they changing in my heart.

I feel like it is time to let go of all the fears , the tears and the heartache. It is now time to move forward , trusting for 'the joy to come in the morning' as promised by God.

I am tired of hauling all this baggage around with me, lately it has felt like more of a noose and less of a suitcase ...time for a clean out ... a washing away of the old which is so very easy to cling too...

Today there is a glimmer of hope for me, as the promise of my car getting sorted out is lingering (still trusting God for the finances) , suggesting once again that there is a future of promise and freedom on the horizon.

Even though outside my window there is currently a torrential rain storm ( both in the physical and emotional realms), I am trusting God today more than ever... to provide a husband , finances and a future that He alone has planned for me ...

Here I am Lord! I am stepping out of the boat ...' where you take me I will go!'

Today is the start of a new journey and a new chapter ...

This week , this month and everyday at the moment feels as though I am flitting around aimlessly and without any purpose. I feel totally at a loss of control and direction.

I have always been a closet control freak .... just relaxed enough to get away with going unnoticed as a borderline case, however at the moment I am reliant on others... resulting in the fact that no two days can really be planned in succession, no 'to the minute planning' as I fall victim to the schedules and planning of others.

Now I can take two paths ....

I can either freak out , throw and tantrum and collapse in a heap ... all to no avai!
OR
I can choose to surrender, submitting my days to the Lord and leaving the logistics to Him ... a path I have chosen and am learning to walk daily.

You see by surrendering the control of life , it's issues and responsibilities you are declaring in Faith that the Lord does indeed know best ... that you can in fact rely upon your Faith and trust the Lord wholeheartedly.

It does not mean that you will not be challenged or that Satan will not continually try to debunk and demolish all that God has instilled in your spirit. After all Satan is the master planner when it comes to deception and using the mind to persecute.

But today I encourage you to take the path of 'most' resistance , a path of surrender ... setting your spirit free .. allow yourself to walk in freedom and to take flight like a butterfly .... trusting God.
