Happiness, Glitter & Daydreams

One woman's unpredictable journey through life , love and happiness whilst snuggled in Faith.I choose happiness ...

You know its been the most interesting journey the last four months or so, if anything God has shown me my weaknesses but also my strengths.

You see for the longest time, including lockdown I have been looking for love. In an ordinary world that does not sound difficult but for a divorced (12yrs) forty something year old Christian who does not believe in sex before marriage. It is nigh on impossible! So as all others do I resorted to dating apps and surprise surprise I actually had a fe coffee dates, a meal or two and enjoyed myself. However I quickly figured out that God had restored my self worth and that the men simply looking for sex were dismissed without thought. Those looking for relationship, but only with sex? Well., some became friends and some not so much. Those who were happy just being friends? Well, I had one or two around for dinner and it freaked me out. I realised my home is my haven and not only do I want the right partner, but he has to feel like home.

I have never in all my life wanted my space vacated as much or as quickly as when the wrong person came to visit. Well this may not be a happy ending story, it is one of victory! i now waking up praising God for showing me that I have grown and matured. I would honestly rather been alone and struggle with that reality for the rest of my days, than be with someone God didn't put in my path.

Stay true to yourself ladies and keep God at the centre you can't go wrong!

I CHOOSE HAPPINESS!

Follow your passions and your hearts desires ...never, never, never give up ... but do give your dreams to God.

About two years ago I discovered my own passion for writing , for Social Media and being able to use it as a medium for personal relaxation and sharing the love of God with others ... not by preaching but just by loving people.

Do you know how many people are out there just craving to be loved?
The joy of this journey, has been making so many friends both locally and internationally ...finding like minded people with huge hearts , kind ways and the gift of friendship .... I wouldn't trade it for the world.

You see, God put this dream in my heart.  I remember I was listening to a preach in church and the Pastor challenged us 'How many non-Christian freinds do you have?' honestly at that point I did not have many at all.

Next he asked 'How are you going to make a difference in this world, if you are not taking the Gospel into the world?' ...hmmm a stirring began.

Lastly he added 'You do not need to throw the Bible , God's word or Preach to people ...just live a godly life and love all without judgement' , now that I can do! I have the hugest heart and I am huggy bear of note, so sharing love , hugs and an ear is easy for me. God gave me a mission and I accepted whole heartedly.

Today I stand here with the most awesome group of friends , Christian and Non-Christian alike. I get to love and share with people everyday and God spoils me in ways that are unimaginable.

Listen to God , use your gifts and talents and heed His call ...the fruits are amazing and the joy immeasureable!

Over the past two or so weeks I have had some major shifting in the spirit and I have come to realise that I stopped dreaming out of a fear of 'disappointment' and I had given up hope ... yes, hope of finding love and a husband .... but I am there no more!

Satan will not rob me of my dreams, and I will cling for an eternity to that of which I dream and wish , knowing that God's will comes first.

Today I want to just share, that no matter where you are , how far you have wondered , whether you are going through a rough season or a great season God is with you ... and whilst you feel far away, in actual fact there is but a whisper between you and God.

Stand tall and DO NOT BE AFRAID of that which makes you weak and scared ... with God you can overcome all ... just keep walking , believing and taking one day at a time.

My season is coming and so is yours!

These days I find that there is just not enough time in the day , our business is moving and my dad is scheduled for surgery , my mom's knee has packed in etc etc etc...

The result is that when I stop running at the end of the day , I just collapse in a heap and tend to fall asleep. Yes I am not spending time reading God's word ... do I feel guilty ..yes!
Do I feel persecuted no!
Thats what God's grace is all about!

My journey has got to be, not making this a habit... but to rather to see it as a season ...
What has come of it though is that I find myself chatting to God a lot more during the day.

I am sure that if someone was standing next to me at times, they would think I am nuts ... and well that's okay too! You see, I have been having the most awesome impromptu conversations with God. They cover topics of anything from traffic to friends pregnancy , to divorces and a whole lot more.

There is nothing that we can't chat to the Lord about and He loves it when we do make Him a part of our lives. I want to encourage you today , even if you don't seem to have time first thing in the morning or last thing at night ...just chat to Him , pray aloud ...share your news ....share your hurts ....heck I've even had a few 'head to heads' with my pappa Jesus ...He knows your heart and He understands.

Just do it! Conversations with God are amazing!

Sending hugs your way and remember to do as I do ...
